Mrs. Jessica McAbee

 My name is Jessica McAbee. I have been teaching full-time in the Lawrence County School System since 2005. I currently teach 9th and 10th grade Pre AP English. I taught for 2 years at MMS, and the rest of my career has been here at LCHS.  I am a 1994 graduate of East Lawrence High School where I was in the top 10 of my graduating class. I attended Calhoun Community College on a full academic scholarship and transferred to Athens State University on a full leadership scholarship. I graduated in 1998 with a double major in B.S.ed English and History. From 1998-2005, I stayed at home to raise my children, Lane (21), Mollie (19), and Maggie (14). All of my children attended or currently attend schools in the Lawrence County system.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart, David, for 24 years. We live on a mini farm in the Speake area. We love gardening, horse-riding, hunting, and the outdoors in general. We attend Enon Baptist Church in Danville, AL and are involved in all of our children's extracurricular pursuits including band, softball, Athletics for All sports, and Special Olympics.
